Social media fanatics and fans of mega Latin stars, like Miguel Bosé, who will be honored as "Person of the Year" at the Latin Grammys, are in for a real social treat this Thursday.

Six to 12 pre-selected lucky Latin Grammys fans will participate in a Google Hangout with their favorite stars that will take place on the red carpet during the show, according to Mashable.

Super dedicated fans who utilize social media on a daily basis to follow their favorite Latin stars were rewarded for their efforts by Univision producers who searched all social media platforms to find the best candidates.

There will be a designated area on the red carpet where the Latin stars will take questions from these fans, and the conversations will be broadcasted live to viewers tuning in at home.

"What we heard from our fans time, time and again, is let us connect with our favorite stars, let us have an impact on the show," David Beck, senior vice president of social media at Univision, told Mashable. "We're really excited to see how the stars react to seeing their fans right in front of them."

The Google Hangout is yet another social media component added to the Latin Grammys. Fans who aren't part of the Hangout will still get to ask questions via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Vine video, Mashable points out. Univision producers will pick a few to be featured onscreen, and fans can watch as celebrities respond.

While the Google Hangout will only last during the red carpet portion, the show will keep the social media angle alive by transitioning to the social media lounge, located atop the stage's ceiling. Beck adds that Univision plans to keep tabs on Facebook and Twitter discussion surrounding the event and will highlight conversations from all over the Latin world.

In addition to Bosé, mega Latin stars such as, Marc Anthony, Carlos Vives, Draco Rosa, among many more nominees, will be sure to dazzle at the Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas.

Vives' has made a strong comeback and has nabbed five nominations including "Song of the Year," "Record of the Year," and "Album of the Year." The Colombian star's "Corazón Profundo" faces other strong contenders for "Album of the Year," such as: Draco Rosa with "Vida," Natalie Cole's "En Español," and Alejandro Sanz with "La Música No Se Toca," among others.

Univision will broadcast the 14th Annual Latin Grammys live on Thursday night (8-11 p.m. ET/PT).
