Two of the world's biggest pop stars, Jennifer Lopez and Rihanna, are coming together to lend their voices to the new DreamWorks Pictures animated film, "Home."

"Home" tells the story of an unlikely friendship between Gratuity "Tip" Tucci, voiced by Rihanna, and an alien named Boov Oh, voiced by Jim Parsons.

The film's description reads, "When Oh, a lovable misfit from another planet, lands on Earth and finds himself on the run from his own people, he forms an unlikely friendship with an adventurous girl named Tip who is on a quest of her own. Through a series of comic adventures with Tip, Oh comes to understand that being different and making mistakes is all part of being human. And while he changes her planet and she changes his world, they discover the true meaning of the word HOME."

The movie is based on the book, "The True Meaning of Smekday" by Adam Rex.

Lopez will be playing Tip's mother, Lucy Tucci. The movie also stars Steve Martin as Captain Smek and Matt Jones as Boov Kyle.

In addition to the new singles, Lopez and Rihanna recently released two singles that will accompany the new movie.

Lopez released "Feel the Light" earlier this week. Rihanna released her single, "Towards the Sun," shortly after.

"Towards the Sun" features a children's choir, offering much different tone than her recent hit, "FourFive Seconds" with Paul McCartney and Kanye West.

The song's chorus showcases the movie's otherworldly theme.

"Turn your face towards the sun / Let the shadows fall behind you," she sings. "Don't look back, just carry on / And the shadows will never find you."

In addition to lending her voice to the character, Tip, and to the song "Towards the Sun" the singer has reportedly penned a concept album to go along with the movie. However, there is no word that this will be the movie's actual soundtrack.

The 3D movie will hit theaters Mar. 27.
