Amanda Bynes is mentally competent enough to stand trial, TMZ and Radar Online report.

According to TMZ, Bynes was declared mentally fit enough to stand trial for a DUI charge in Mental Health Court this morning. The ruling came after the reading of a "court-ordered medical evaluation." Rich Hutton, Bynes' criminal defense attorney, reportedly did not object to the ruling.

Despite the ruling, TMZ reports that Bynes is still "nowhere close" to being able to live on her own. Currently, Bynes' mother, Lynn, has conservatorship of the "The Amanda Show" actress.

The 27-year-old suffers from bi-polar disorder and schizophrenia.

"The Bynes family would also like to thank all of Amanda's supporters and well-wishers for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Currently, upon recommendation by the skilled healthcare professionals at UCLA Medical Center, Amanda is receiving specialized treatment in a private facility outside of Los Angeles," a statement released by Bynes' parents via Tamar Arminak, their attorney, said.

Bynes is expected to leave her treatment facility and move in with her parents within "the next several weeks," Radar Online reports.

"Amanda is making great strides towards recovery," the statement said. "The entire Bynes family would like to ask that they be given some measure of privacy so they can focus on Amanda's health and well-being."

Bynes originally gained fame as a cast member on Nickelodeon's "All That." Nickelodeon gave Bynes her own spin-off, "The Amanda Show," in 1999. After the show ended in 2002, Bynes stared in The WB series "What I Like About You" and broke out into movies including 2006's She's the Man and 2010's Easy A.
