The fight that every boxing fan has desired for years is just two months away.

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are (finally) set to square off on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Boxing fans everywhere are already making early predictions, and that, of course, didn't stop Skip Bayless from foretelling his own boxing forecast. Bayless is well known as one of the debaters on the ESPN television show known as "First Take."

In his article "Mayweather Faces the Music," Bayless explains Mayweather had no choice but to finally face Pacquiao. Pacquiao joined Bayless about two years ago on the "First Take" live telecast, explaining he had repeatedly agreed to Mayweather's constant demands of a lower 60-40 split and even a drug test on the day of the fight. When Bayless asked Pacquiao, "Why won't Mayweather fight you?" Pacquiao said, "He's afraid."

Bayless isn't torn over this fight prediction one bit. He is fully committed to believing Pacquiao will beat Mayweather in the upcoming fight. "He will lose to Pacquiao, by knockout, on May 2" says Bayless. Bayless even goes on to say that he spoke with Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, who explained, "Manny wants this fight more than Floyd."

A knockout win by Pacquiao is a very bold prediction considering Mayweather is not just a perfect 47-0, but he has also never even been fully knocked down to the canvas in his professional career. A win against Mayweather would do wonders for Pacquiao's all-time legacy.

While Pacquiao has the power advantage, Mayweather can erase that with his exceptional speed and defense. These two Welterweight fighters are expected to go at it for the full 12 rounds. Unfortunately neither fighter is in the prime of his career, so we won't exactly be seeing Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Frazier, when they were each at their best.

It's very likely it will take a knockout or an overwhelming technical bout by Pacquiao to be named the victor in this one. That's usually the way it works when you're facing the No.1 seed.

Bayless also brings up two other factors that could result in a Pacquiao victory: Pacquiao's left hand and Mayweather's punching power.

"Mayweather also has struggled some with left-handers. Pacquiao is left-handed. Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum, who promoted Mayweather for 10 years, flat out says Floyd is 'afraid of left-handers,'" writes Bayless, who has also brought up Mayweather's strength multiple times on First Take. He's gone on record saying, "Mayweather can't punch."

Pacquiao's fighting stance will probably be the biggest X factor in the fight. Will it result in big problems for Mayweather or will he be able to adapt just fine?

Pacquiao knows he has a slight edge in power, but he must be patient. If he goes all out early, he'll get far too tired and won't be able to last the full 12 rounds effectively. Mayweather will most likely play it safe just trying to avoid getting knocked out thus winning by point total.

This will easily be one of the most anticipated fights of the 21st century. Financial boxing experts believe it will break pay-per-view and attendance records. The cheapest tickets will cost at least $1,000. Want to sit front row? That will cost at least $5,000. Estimated pay-per-view costs have customers paying about $100.00 if they want to watch it on television.
