CeeLo Green is completing at least part of his court ordered community service by working with homeless veterans on L.A.'s skid row and the provocative crooner appears to be taking the work to heart.

According to TMZ, the "Forget You" singer "sometimes gets emotional when discussing his work" and during a Monday afternoon progress hearing authorities informed him he was doing so well in meeting the requirements of his probation he doesn't have to attend any more of the related gatherings.

Green, 38, was recently sentenced to three years probation and ordered to complete 360 hours of community service stemming from his no contest plea on charges of furnishing a woman he was on a date with three years ago with the drug ecstasy. Reportedly, the 33-year-old victim told prosecutors she believes Green spiked her drink and she later awoke to find herself naked and in his bed.

According to the New York Daily News, she later recorded Green making specific references to the incident in subsequent conversations.

TMZ reports, to date Green has already completed 151 hours of community service and 31 of individual drug and alcohol treatment. In addition, Green's therapist told the court he has displayed "genuine humbleness" in their discussions, including talk about his new album.

Green, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, rose to super stardom as part of the groups Goodie Mob and Gnarls Barkley. From 2011 to 2014, Green also served as a judge on "The Voice, a reality TV themed singing competition show. In 2013, he and the other three one-time members of Goodie Mob reunited to release the album "Age Against the Machine."

Over the years, Green's work has earned him five Grammy Awards, a BET Award and a Billboard Award.
