Sheldon may start planning for an upcoming trip to Mars in Thursday's all-new episode of "The Big Bang Theory."

In the next episode, which is called "The Colonization Application," Sheldon will sign up for a program that would allow him to visit a colony on Mars after he considers on becoming a Mars colonist. According to Carter Matt, Sheldon's plan to visit Mars will likely cause tension with his girlfriend Amy since he tends to put himself first in their relationship.

A preview video also reveals that Amy and Sheldon are going to buy a pet turtle together.

In the meantime, Penny and Leonard will question whether they are becoming boring, while Raj is going to invade Emily's privacy. Although Raj's decision to snoops through Emily's home is probably due to his insecurity and lack of experience in relationships, it may lead to him ruining his romance with Emily, which happens to be the longest relationship he's ever been in. Other than Emily, he has only dated Lucy on a serious level.

CBS has released the official synopsis for the episode, which reads as follows:

"Trouble arises when Amy learns Sheldon has applied for a one-way mission to colonize Mars. Also, a trip to the pet store ends in a fight for Sheldon and Amy, Leonard surprises Penny with a very "adult" purchase, and, Raj is caught snooping in Emily's apartment," reports Carter Matt.

In addition, TVLine reports that fans can look forward to more Star Wars on the show since Leonard and Sheldon will go on a road trip in early April to Marin, California and stop by the home of Skywalker Ranch. Their mission will be to pay its owner, George Lucas, a house call.

Season 8, Episode 17 of "The Big Bang Theory," " The Colonization Application," will air on Thursday, March 5 on CBS.
