Popular rapper 50 Cent is confident reigning pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather will win against Manny Pacquiao in their upcoming super fight on May 2 at MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, Nevada.

50 Cent said in an interview with The Breakfast Club that he will be betting $1.6 million in favor of Mayweather because he knows the reigning World Boxing Council and World Boxing Association welterweight champion will be too much for Pacquiao on Cinco de Mayo weekend.

When asked why he sounded confident Mayweather will win as proven by the huge amount of money he is planning to put at stake, 50 Cent said that he knows the unbeaten world champion will be more focused than usual, knowing that he is facing the biggest challenge of his career.

"Champ's gonna smoke him. It's gonna look like it was pumped up for no reason," 50 Cent said. "I've been thinking this out. Like wait, I gotta make a real bet because he's focused right now."

The bet and statement from 50 Cent came as a surprise to many after the rapper had a public dispute with Mayweather late last year. 50 Cent poked fun at Mayweather's alleged reading abilities and improper way of spending his money.

50 Cent challenged Mayweather to read a page of one Harry Potter book or even just "The Cat in the Hat" without stopping. If Mayweather manages to do so, 50 Cent said that he will donate $750,000 to a charity.

"I will donate $750k to a charity of your choice if you can read a full page out of a Harry Potter book out loud without starting and stopping," 50 Cent told Mayweather in a video.

But instead of taking the reading challenge, Mayweather answered back by posting photos of his checks, showing how much money he is earning and asked 50 Cent to read it.

When asked about their previous feud, 50 Cent said that he is now in good terms with Mayweather again after setting aside their differences for the sake of friendship.

"I can get mad at him. We can both get angry when we're not speaking to each other," 50 Cent added in The Breakfast Club interview. "When we're not communicating with each other, it gets crazy."
