James Franco and Chris O'Dowd are going to Broadway.

The two actors will appear in Broadway's production of Of Mice and Men, Variety reports.

Franco, of Oz the Great and the Powerful, will play George, a nomad of a ranch worker. Bridesmaids' O'Dowd will play Lennie, George's pal who has some mental obstacles to overcome.

Both actors will be making their Broadway debut with Of Mice and Men.

Fans have been waiting for an official announcement about the play ever since Franco mentioned portraying the play's lead role during an interview on "The Colbert Report" in March. Now, the play finally has an official theater and dates.

David Binder will be the lead producer of the re-production of the 1937 play adaptation of the famous John Steinbeck novel. Darren Bagert, Kate Lear, Barbara Whitman and Adam Zotovich will also produce alongside Latitude Link 101 Prods as executive producer. Anna D. Shapiro will direct. Shapiro already has a Tony award under her belt for directing August: Osage County.

Of Mice and Men will take over for First Date, which is closing on Jan. 5, at the Longacre Theater. Previews for Of Mice and Men will be held on March 19, and the play will see its opening on April 16.

Recently, it was announced that "Breaking Bad's" Bryan Cranston would also be joining Broadway. Cranston will play President Lyndon B. Johnson in All the Way. The play was written by Pulitzer Prize-winner Robert Schneklan and is three-hours-long, making it one of the longest plays in recent Broadway history. All the Way opens March 6 at the Neil Simon Theater.
