In the latest development concerning the suspension of "Top Gear" presenter Jeremy Clarkson and his altercation with one of the show's producers, the BBC has cancelled four of the television show's popular "Top Gear Live" shows in Norway.

The network did not say when the shows would be reinstated or rescheduled.

"Top Gear Live" is a spin off live show of the popular TV series in which the hosts travel to different parts of the world to have the "Top Gear" experience in stadiums and other venues, according to the site.

BBC Worldwide, which runs the live show, released a statement in which it regretted the postponed of four shows in Norway, set to happen from March 27 to 28, according to the Guardian.

"'Top Gear Live' regrets to inform ticket holders for next week's shows in Stavanger, Norway that we will be postponing all four performances, with rescheduled dates for later this year to be confirmed within the next fortnight," the BBC statement said.

"We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this will cause fans and we will endeavor to contact all ticket holders directly to inform them of the change of dates. At present, all other 'Top Gear Live' dates will run as scheduled."

Around 18,000 people had bought tickets for the postponed shows, ranging in price from £45 and £100. The BBC said it would refund anyone who could not make the new dates.

The investigation into whether Clarkson punched producer Oisin Tymon will come to an end this week when Ken MacQuarrie, head of BBC Scotland, releases his report, according to the Daily Mail.

Clarkson is an integral part of the popular car TV show as well as the live show, as he has been present at each live show, reports Deadline.

Sources speaking to the Daily Mail say the BBC wants to keep Clarkson if possible.

"The BBC wants to keep Clarkson if it can find a respectable way to do it," a source said.

"The BBC will do everything it can to keep him if it was just a bit of a dust-up, but if he is found to have punched him, then I think it's gone too far," a senior executive said.

Concerning the cancellation of the upcoming shows, the source said it is "an independent decision we have to make. It is no indication of what is to come."

However, Clarkson is not waiting for a decision. At an appearance in London for a charity event, Clarkson said he expects to be sacked -- and it was all on video.

"I didn't foresee my sacking but I would like to do one last lap," he told the crowd. "So I'll go down to Surrey and I'll do one last lap of that track before the f**ing bastards sack me. I'll be a bit tearful when I do it, but f*ck it, let's do it."
