Universal Studios has released an emotional tribute video featuring the "Fast & Furious" actor Paul Walker following his recent tragic death.

Uploaded on the franchise's official YouTube page on Wednesday, December 4, the two-minute clip has instantly surpassed 1 million views. It opens with Walker getting out of a racecar with a bright smile on his face in a scene from the 2001 original "The Fast and the Furious."

"What are you smiling about?" his co-star Vin Diesel, playing the role of street racer Dominic Toretto, asks Paul Walker's character, undercover cop Brian O'Conner.

"Dude, I almost had you," O'Conner responds, while a crowd is cheering behind him.

While the visual features several highlighted flashbacks of Paul Walker in the action films over the years, along with Diesel and his fellow co-stars including Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson, Skylar Grey's "I'm Coming Home" is mournfully played in the background: "Let the rain, wash way, all the pain of yesterday / I know my kingdom awaits, and they've forgive my mistakes / I'm coming home / I'm coming home."

The tribute video also shows a clip from "Fast Five," in which Dominic Toretto offers a toast.

"The most important thing in life will always be the people in this room, right here, right now," Vin Diesel says to his main co-stars, including Walker.

"Salud mi familia," he added as they cheered their beer bottles together.

The poignant video ended with Paul Walker on a racetrack leaning against a blue sports car with "In Loving Memory" written above in heavenly clouds.

A note with the post says: "A Tribute to Paul Walker. Paul Walker's family appreciates the outpouring of love and goodwill from his many fans and friends. They have asked, in lieu of flowers and other gifts, that donations please be made to Paul's charity Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW). Donations can easily be made through their website at https://www.ROWW.org/."

Walker died on Saturday, November 30, at age 40, while riding as a passenger in a 2005 Porsche Carrerra GT, being driven by his friend Roger Rodas, following a charity event in Santa Clarita, California. Both men died when the car hit a pole at a high speed and burst into flames.
