With all of his recent incarnations, from the snide misanthropic smart-aleck played by Robert Downey Jr., to the more classically-oriented snob for details portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch, there might officially be enough Sherlock Holmes to go around.

For those who want their Holmes to go to AA meetings and be partnered up with a former “Charlie’s Angels” member, there is “Elementary.”

Episode 18 of the CBS program’s third season will be airing on April 2.

In the show titled "The View From Olympus," as reported by Spoilers Guide, a driver for a ride-sharing company similar to Uber is intentionally run over by a city cab.

Holmes and Watson will wonder if the act was a case of professional jealousy.

And outside of that topical story-line, a casual romance that Holmes has been having with one of his longtime consultants (Anastasia Griffith) becomes complicated when she makes a shocking request of the detective.

It’s a good thing anyway to see Holmes have a bit of a romantic side.

For a while fans of the series were hopeful that Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Watson (Lucy Liu) would flout literary conventions and hook up, but the acting pair pretty much stated their total refusal in a TV Guide interview back in 2013.

“The writers are pretty adamant that shouldn't happen, and I have to agree. There are some things that must remain with Holmes and Watson. Also, you've got to leave room for that tension and possibility, which are so strong in people's minds. If you take that away, what are you left with?” stated Miller.

At which point Liu chimed in, saying: “It's like going to a nude beach: It's all there, there's nothing to see, it's done. But when you go to an actual beach and people have bikinis on, there's something more sexual.”
