FKA twigs recently expressed her frustration over being bullied online for dating current boyfriend Robert Pattinson.

The British singer has been facing foul criticisms and racist rants on Twitter lately. But she is not being targeted because she is half-Jamaican, half-Spanish. Instead, she is at the receiving end of these negative comments just because she is the "Twilight" star's girlfriend.

In an interview with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe, FKA twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Barnett, admitted that there was a time when she was reading every single negative comment about her, even at 3 a.m.

"I just couldn't believe the world was like that. I guess I'm quite naïve for someone who's come through the Internet. I don't engage with it that much. I just couldn't believe people think like that or say things like that," she said. "It was morbidly fascinating."

In addition to cyberbullies, the "Pendulum" singer has been dealing with tabloid reporters, who fabricate stories about her. The singer has chosen to not let it bother her, but it sometimes does get to her.

"It doesn't affect me at all or what I create. Sometimes it's just frustrating because those sorts of tabloids are just looking for a headline," she continued. "That headline is often so far from the truth."

However, Barnett made it very clear that she believes she is "10 times stronger" than her haters and online bashers. Therefore, she is fighting for herself.

"I wanted to show that I can stand up for myself so then hopefully another person will see that and want to stand up for themselves," she added.

FKA twigs previously explained how she wants to stay positive amid hatred, mostly coming from Pattinson's diehard fans.

"The positivity that I get from [my relationship] makes the more challenging aspects ... very worth it," she told USA Today.
