Paula Patton's mind is finally clear after her divorce from "Blurred Lines" star husband Robin Thicke.

During a recent interview with Meredith Vieira, the 39-year-old mother told the talk show host she's now living in "a place of gratitude" since her public split from Thicke.

According to the New York Daily News, Patton later added, "You know I'm doing really well. It's been a long year and a lot of challenges but I've grown quite a bit and just getting used to change."

Patton revealed she first met Thicke when she was just 14 years old and feels being on her own has finally made her start to feel like an adult.

"I moved from my parent's house to moving in with Robin and now I'm becoming an adult," she explained. "I feel like a real woman now."

Still, the "Precious" actress admits she's faced her challenges, such as learning to balance her career with being a single parent.

"I took a lot of time off to be with him and then I had to pack for a trip because I had to go to work and he said, 'Mommy I don't want you to go to work,'" she said of the small child she shares with Thicke. "It's the challenge of being a working mother and it's the first time he ever said that to me, because I did work when he was a baby, but now he is more aware of everything, so what are you going to do? It's sort of the trials and tribulations of being a woman. Right?"

After eight years of marriage, the couple publicly split in February of 2014. Eight months later, Patton formally filed for divorce.

Thicke, 38, briefly tried to win back his now-ex-wife's affections by dedicating his "Get Her Back" song and video to her. He performed the song at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards.
