Vin Diesel is hinting production on "Furious 8" could soon be in the works.

Appearing on a recent episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live," the 47-year-old franchise star told the host new "Furious 7" cast members, such as Nathalie Emmanuel and Kurt Russell, could come to play pivotal parts in any ongoing plot lines.

Diesel added he could even see how their additions could ultimately take the franchise to New York City for at least some of its filming.

According to Entertainment Weekly, both Emmanuel and Russell's roles for "Furious 7" have been "kept relatively secret." The movie opens in theaters later this month.

The death of longtime cast member Paul Walker had left many wondering if an end for the wildly popular series might be on the horizon. Walker died in a car accident before filming on "Furious 7" was completed. Reportedly, film makers will use scenes he shot before the accident throughout the movie and for other segments where his character appears will use stand-in doubles, which include the late actor's two brothers.

Over the years, cast members have openly talked about how close they have become since working together and Diesel recently announced he had named his newborn daughter Pauline in Walker's honor.

"There's no other person that I was thinking about as I was cutting this umbilical cord," Diesel said shortly after his daughter's birth, according to CNN. "I just ... knew he was there.

Diesel later added of the movie, "This was a very, very personal and important film for us. This was a labor of love. It was in some ways the hardest movie I ever had to do. Because the relationships that you see on film are so real. When the tragedy happened, I lost my best friend. I lost my brother."

"Furious 7" also stars Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordanna Brewster, Ludacris and Tyrese Gibson.
