It seems that the first 30 scenes from the hotly anticipated "Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens" have been spoiled online.

There have been numerous rumors that a lightsaber will fall through space and eventually land on a desert planet and this new shot list supports that notion. But there is a lot of new information revealed from these rumors.

First off, it seems that the desert planet from the first trailer is called Savannah, thus confirming notions that Tatooine is not the planet previously displayed.

More importantly, the lightsaber is found by the Village Vicar who gives it over to Poe Dameron, who will be played by Oscar Isaac. After Poe runs off with the blade, Imperial transports and Stormtroopers arrive on the scene led by none other than Kylo Ren, the dark Jedi from the trailer. Apparently we also get a glimpse of Stormtrooper Finn, played by John Boyega, as he spares a villager.

Kylo confronts the Vicar and asks for the lightsaber. However, upon receiving resistance, he kills the man and moves on. Meanwhile, Poe stores the lightsaber in BB-8 and they go their separate ways. This latter move is clearly reminiscent of Princess Leia hiding the plans inside of R2-D2 in order to keep them out of the hands of the empire.

At the end of the sequence, Poe's ride gets destroyed, though his fate is not specified.

Rumor has it that legendary actor Max Von Sydow will be playing the Vicar, making it seem as if his role in the film is in fact as brief as it comes.

This opening also seems to set up a narrative similar to that of the original "Star Wars" in which the empire was in search of plans stored in the Droids, thus bringing all the major forces together through a variety of coincidences. It seems that with BB-8 holding the lightsaber, he will eventually run into Rey and Finn and work with them on finding the owner of the blade or running from the villains.

The purpose of the blade has yet to be revealed and it very well could serve as a MacGuffin for the entire plot.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" hits theaters on Dec. 18, 2015. Fans will get a chance to see a new trailer ahead of "The Avengers: Age of Ultron."
