For a while it had been in question whether or not Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez were still friends. It seemed like Selena had traded in Demi for Taylor Swift, who isn't too friendly with Demi since they have an ex-boyfriend in common (Joe Jonas). Whatever happened between the two girls, who grew up together in the entertainment business, is in the past because they are back to being super mushy and adoring each other.

There had been some controversy between BFFs Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato after Lovato's release from rehab. As Demi embarked on a quest towards a sober and positive life, Selena was going through her "on-and-off" stage with J.B and seemed to be getting closer to man-hater Taylor Swift.

In one of Demi's interviews, she explained how Selena had been there for her during rehab but then the friendship had "fallen out." She then mentioned that during her "rebirth" she was able to see who were her real friends and who were just there for publicity; was she talking about Selena? Some of these statements and not seeing the pals hang out anymore lead us to believe their sisterhood was sadly over.

We were wrong. Selena accompanied Demi to visit a rehab center where she spoke to a recovery group. Selena decided to join her friend to provide moral support just like she did through Demi's time in a sober living home. Demi spoke to the group for an hour and told them about her personal struggles with eating disorders and cutting herself.

The X Factor star also talked about the support she received from her good friend Selena during those tough times. She said she really "values Selena" as a friend and how she likes to surround herself with positive influences. We are so happy to see these two back together and joining forces to provide good to others. Demi is a true survivor and her story is very inspiring, something that Selena can also learn from. Though their friendship has experienced the pressures of Hollywood and the natural drama of the female world, it's nice to see that these two cherish the true sisterhood that they have. Cheers to them.
