LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers are making headlines in the NBA with their recent performances. The four-time NBA Most Valuable Player is expected to make waves again in the coming days not because of his performance on the hardcourt, but because of his signature shoe.

Nike will release the LeBron 12 EXT, the off-court variant of James' latest signature shoe, on Saturday in Wheat/Wheat-Metallic Gold colorway, which is dubbed as the "Wheat" edition.

This edition features a wheat-based upper part combined with metallic gold Nike Swoosh logo on the side panel and LeBron James logo near the tongue. It is finished off with translucent outsole showing the multi-colored hexagonal Zoom Air units that provide accelerated explosiveness and enhance natural motion.

According to Nike, the LeBron 12 EXT "Wheat" was inspired by the Air Zoom Generation sneaker James wore when he racked up 33 points during the 2004 Rookie Challenge. This edition features a classic tongue tab along with the sockliner tie along with the date 2.13.04 on the heel pull tab -- the day James dominated in the Rookie challenge.

"The special moment called for special footwear, with LeBron wearing his debut Air Zoom Generation in the now highly coveted 'Wheat' make-up," Nike wrote in a statement. "Eleven years later, the silhouette that started it all inspires a limited edition take on the upcoming LeBron XII EXT.

The LeBron 12 EXT "Wheat" will be available starting 10 a.m. ET on Saturday with retail price set at $250 per pair. More information and official photos of the shoe are available on this link.

Meanwhile, aside from excellent off-court shoe, a low-top variant of the LeBron 12 will also arrive at retailers. The LeBron 12 Low will be released in White/Midnight Navy-University Red-Metallic Gold colorway.

While there are no big international competition in the coming months or a patriotic holiday in April, most previews, including from Nicekicks and Sneakernews, labeled this colorway as the "USA" edition of the LeBron 12 Low, which has been making a lot of noise over the past several days when the "LeBronold Palmer" edition surfaced.

The LeBron 12 Low "USA" sports a white-based Hyperfuse upper part combined with navy blue lace eyelets and inner lining. It also features a metallic gold Nike Swoosh and LeBron James logo, finished off with a white midsole and a visible Zoom unit on top of a metallic gold outsole.

The LeBron 12 Low "USA" will be available on Thursday, April 9, 10 a.m. ET with retail price set at $175 per pair. Photos of this low-top signature shoe are available on this link.
