Google's Android 5.0 Lollipop has come to Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 devices in the U.S. through an OTA update announced late this week. It took a long time, but it's finally here.

The news from Verizon (via Android Police) means Verizon customers with Galaxy Note 4 devices no longer have to wait for their Lollipop, while those on other carriers like Sprint and even AT&T with a Galaxy Note 4 have already reached their OTA rollout release date by now.

The official software update version number on Verizon is N910VVRU1BOAF, and it should be popping up in OTA notifications for Verizon customers starting last Thursday, April 2. Remember, if you haven't gotten a notification on your device yet, it's not an April Fool's prank: OTA rollouts this big tend to happen in progressive stages.

Rest assured, your Lollipop is on the way.

The update brings Android 5.0 Lollipop, along with Samsung's Lollipop updated TouchWiz interface, with all of the wonderful features Verizon GN4 users have undoubtedly been waiting for eagerly: Material Design with the pleasing flat aesthetic and that floating action button, Android smart lock, a new lockscreen with enhanced notifications, the (optional but very satisfying) Lollipop keyboard, and much more. There's also the new "advanced calling" VoLTE feature that puts a video calling option right in the dialer.
