The evidences for the coming iPhone 6 just keep on coming with the latest including the possibility of a curved display and made out of liquidmetal and sapphire glass material.

According to an article from International Business Times Australia, the new patent awarded to Apple revealed that the tech giant has developed a new technique that will make possible the making of curved touch sensors to newer iOS and OS X Mavericks devices. If it will be similarly applied to the future iPhone 6 device, then the engineers will coat its bendable display using a thin kind of film before it gets tempered to make the entire device a lot more robust.

IBTimes UK further reported that other expected iPhone 6 features include a brand new design, a larger screen at 4.7 or 5.5 inches, an A8 processor, an iOS 8 software and even a camera with the lytro-style refocusing feature.

The Epoch Times revealed a part of the patent awarded to Apple that describes the method to be applied to the company's future devices:

"According to certain embodiments, the method can include supporting the flexible substrate in the flat state on at least one curved forming substrate having a predetermined curvature; and performing an anneal process, or an anneal-like high-heat process, on the conductive thin film, wherein the anneal process can cause the flexible substrate to conform to the predetermined curvature of the at least one curved forming substrate. According to an embodiment, the curved forming substrate can include a first forming substrate having a first predetermined curvature and a second forming substrate having a second predetermined curvature complementing the first predetermined curvature."

As for the iPhone 6 release date, there are talks by analysts that it could land as early as June next year. But if the company will follow its usual iPhone release pattern, then it may end up by Fall of 2014 or up to late September.
