Some of the best things that we have enjoyed about "Blue Bloods" over the years have been the stylistic way it has of creating new, innovative content. On April 10, the episode "Payback" will surely be no stranger to that formula.

In this episode, as reported by International Business Times, Detectives Maria Baez and Danny Reagan get called in to investigate a murder at a restaurant. But it is not just any restaurant and not just any murder. It involves a celebrity chef -- and it's his own restaurant.

Throw a politician into the mix and now you have the good old-fashioned elite entitlement scenario where Sen. Ted McCreary tries to strong-arm commissioner Frank Reagan (as an old friend of course) into making a DUI charge disappear.

Moral and ethical dilemma's aside though, you can expect a well-rounded mix of "who done it" and "why" from this episode, especially since Baez and Danny have a confession from a suspect already, leading them to take a look at the possibility of false conclusions or if there is more at play than meets the eye.

Over the years, one of the best parts has been that each episode is a "stand-alone," which means that viewers can pick up on any episode and not worry about being lost in the continuity of storylines.

But CarterMatt reports that this may not be the case with the two-hour season finale, which begins on April 24. In this episode, Dennis Haybert will guest star as NYPD Deputy Chief Donald Kent (a personal friend of Frank Reagan), who is gunned down along with his wife in what appears to be a gang hit. Method Man also guest stars as Mario Hunt, the gang member and person of interest in the hit.

One thing is for sure: Circumstances are really starting to heat up on this show and, just like any good police drama, everyone's life is on the line.
