The "Golden Girls" want to thank you for being a friend -- especially if you go over to the Lego Ideas page and vote for them to get accepted into the Lego Universe so that they may have their own Legos set.

As reported on Vocativ, this is a fan-made set submitted to the Lego ideas website. The premise is if the set gets 10,000 votes, then it hits the review stage and the producers will then decide whether to produce it or not.

For the Lego Ideas universe, a fan can submit his or her idea. If it gets the required votes, then it hits the next phase destined for production. Lego will also pay the original engineer (the submitter) a percentage of the sales for the kit. If it keeps selling, the person will keep making money.

So for this project, which is No. 98263, Lego lovers may be blessed with the likes of Dorothy, Rose, Blanche, Sophia and Stanley from "The Golden Girls." It also features the original styles of their set from the TV series, including the kitchen, the living room and the foyer.

It can also be used to recreate many scenes from the series, which the original engineer has already done. This ranges between scenes with Burt Reynolds to Rose shooting Blanche's vase. It also has the outdoor area with potted plants.

The set had 7,391 supporters as of Wednesday, and there is still 343 days left. For those who really loved "The Golden Girls" and want to see them immortalized into the Lego universe, be sure to go to the Lego Ideas webpage and sign on as a supporter of this project.
