The online publication Latin Business Today, LLC (LBT), which looks to "inform, inspire, mentor & empower," has a revamped site and a renewed interest in catering to U.S. Latino businesses, offering unique content and mentorship.

According to a press release, LBT plans to offer the nation's 3 million Latino business owners an optimized experience. Upgrades include four new channels that are equipped with improved search capabilities to better engage readers and help to make insights and solutions far more accessible. Also, the publication has increased the number of "coaches," which are persons who provide expertise through thought-provoking quotes and community mentorship.

"Launching this business, together with Miriam Vializ Briggs, has been an incredible and sentimental journey," says Barry Mittelman, publisher at LBT, according to the press release. "Our emphasis on mentoring and empowerment was inspired by the life's work of my late father in law, Dr. Les 'Coach' Fernandez. Coach was the founder and executive director of EduCage, a ground-breaking alternative educational program for at-risk youth established in Westchester County, New York, in the 1960s. Latin Business Today is dedicated to his memory and the lives he changed."

Another goal of the site is to understand the challenges that Latino entrepreneurs and professionals are facing today, and break down those barriers by offering Latino professionals expert insights, delivered by an elite board of contributors and advisors.

Tina Trevino, director of community relations at LBT, shared that the redesign was prompted by a need to assist Latinos at various stages of a business' lifespan and help them to manage work-life balance. The content available on the website touches upon major industries and relevant areas, and it features case studies and best practices from self-starters and thought leaders.

LBT, additionally, is active in numerous Latino organizations and community initiatives, which includes the Latin Scholarship Fund.
