Olivia Munn has joined the cast of "X-Men: Apocalypse," adding yet another mutant to the mix.

Bryan Singer announced the news on Instagram and said, "Excited to welcome @oliviamunn as Betsy Braddock! #Psylocke #XmenApocalypse #XMEN."

Munn will play the role of Psylocke, who is a mutant with special powers of telepathy. The character is also credited with having the body, skills and elements of personality of a female Japanese ninja.

Munn recently starred in "Deliver Us from Evil" with Eric Bana. She is known for her work on "Magic Mike," "Iron Man 2" and "Mortdecai." She is currently starring in the show "Miles From Tomorrowland" and is expected to be seen in "Ride Along 2."

The X-Men film is looking to be one of the biggest ensemble casts in years as Singer recently announced that Ben Hardy would be playing the Angel and that the character would be a villain. Other characters slated to be in the film include Jean Grey, Cyclops and Nightcrawler.

There are currently no plot details but Apocalypse, an immortal mutant that is usually portrayed as one of the main antagonists of the X-Men, is expected to be the villain.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" also stars James McAvoy as Xavier, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Nicholas Hoult as the Beast, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert.

The movie will also star Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nichtcrawler and Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse.

The new installment is the fourth X-Men film Singer will direct. He originated the series in 2000 with "X-Men" and went on to direct "X2." He took a break from the third installment and later directed the sequel to the reboot "X-Men: Days of Future Past."
