ESPN reporter Britt McHenry has been suspended for a week after video footage of her berating a towing-lot attendant went viral.

In the video, the 28-year-old New Jersey native is seen hurling a slew of insults at the employee about her appearance and blue-collar job after her car was towed on April 6, reports The New York Post. Despite being warned that she was under surveillance, McHenry continued to ridicule the employee, telling her that she lacks an education and even threatening to sue the company.

"I'm in the news, sweetheart. I will f**king sue this place," said McHenry in the video, which was published online by LiveLeak, reports Fox News.

Then, things got personal, with the reporter attacking the attendant's personal appearance.

"Maybe if I was missing some teeth they would hire me, huh?" asks the Washington-based reporter. "'Cause they look so stunning ... 'Cause I'm on television and you're in a f**king trailer, honey."

At another point, McHenry says that the woman is uneducated and unskilled. She then asks the woman if her job makes her feel proud, and she does not stop there.

"So I could be a college dropout and do the same thing? Why, cause I have a brain and you don't?" she continued.

McHenry then walks out of the lot, telling the attendant to "lose some weight, baby girl."

McHenry also posted a now deleted tweet on April 6, venting about getting her car towed, which appears to be the cause of her frustration.

Hours after the video surfaced, McHenry released a statement, saying, "I allowed my emotions to get the best of me."

"In an intense and stressful moment, I allowed my emotions to get the best of me and said some insulting and regrettable things. As frustrated as I was, I should always choose to be respectful and take the high road. I am so sorry for my actions and will learn from this mistake," McHenry tweeted.

Following the video, the ESPN vice president of communications, Josh Krulewitz, tweeted that the network suspended McHenry for one week.
