Singer Michael Bublé's recent post on Instagram is causing some to accuse him of body shaming. Buble's picture of an unknowing stranger's behind was posted on his Instagram and it led to many angry social media replies, US Weekly reports.

Bublé's wife Luisana Lopilato was said to have taken the picture of the girl in Miami. The picture shows Bublé standing in front of the camera with a girl in very short shorts that show a portion of her buttocks in the background.

The "Haven't Missed You Yet" singer's photo caption might be what angered many on social media.

"There was something about this photo Lu took that seemed worthy of Instagram. #myhumps #babygotback #hungryshorts #beautifulbum #onlyinMiami," he said on the image's caption.

More than 31,000 people liked the photo, where Bublé is also sporting a comical expression on his face. The unindentifiable woman appears to be checking out in the image.

Since the picture was posted, many people have expressed anger over the photo.

Others were supportive of Bublé.

"This isn't body shaming. His hashtags weren't even offensive," one Instagram user posted in the comments section of the photo.

"What's shameful is that the woman has her butt hanging out of her shorts. ... Maybe we should be criticizing what's considered acceptable apparel instead of criticizing Michael for what he probably meant as a playful post," the user added.

Bublé apologized on Friday for the photo and his comments, according to Fox News.

"...I realize that a photo that was meant to be complimentary and lighthearted has turned into a questionable issue. For the record, It hurts me deeply that anyone would think that I would disrespect women or be insulting to any human being," Buble stated. "I was not brought up that way and it is not in my character. I regret that there are people out there who found the photo offensive. That was not and is not my intention. Women are to be celebrated, loved, respected, honored and revered. I've spent my life believing that and will continue to do so."
