It seems that Pedro Rodriguez's days at Barcelona are numbered. The Spaniard, who was once a fixture on the team's frontline has not found himself relegated to the bench with the emergence of the MSN (Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar).

Rumor has it that Rodriguez could be headed to Inter Milan to play in Italy while others believe that Arsenal could make a play for him. At 27, Rodriguez is in his prime and should still have a few good years of service to offer to whichever team wants him.

He only has five goals and five assists this season, but he has started just 13 games for Barcelona; by comparison he got to start in 28 matches last year and totaled 2,382 minutes in Spain overall.

He is averaged 1.1 shots per game, well below his career average of 1.5, but that can be attributed to the diminished time and opportunity. The key passes are down as well to 0.7 per game; he has a career average of 0.9 per game. Moreover, he is making fewer passes than ever in his career with an average of just 20.5 per game. He is making more crosses per game than his career average, but his long balls and through balls per game have declined.

The great concern is that the trend for him is on a downward slope. His average passes per game have dropped over the last few seasons. His key passes per game have been on an overall shift in the wrong direction. His shots per game have gone downward over the last couple of seasons, and he is finding himself dispossessed more often this year than his overall career average.

The goal scoring from last season was a career-high for Rodriguez, as were the assists, but this is to be expected at the age of 26. He might still improve if given more opportunities, but it is possible that the best of Rodriguez might be behind him.
