For some iOS users, the news that hacker Stefan Esser, who is better known as i0n1c, has been able to jailbreak both iOS 8.3 and the not-yet-released iOS 8.4, is an exciting announcement. For other iOS users, Esser's jailbreak news is not so exciting, because they know it will not be available to them, according to Scribbal.

Esser posted a video showing that he has been able to jailbreak the iOS 8.4 beta 1 operating system. Esser calls his jailbreak a "proof of concept" and is using it for his own enjoyment and does not plan on releasing it to the public. That means iOS 8.3 and iOS 8.4 jailbreaks will have to come from either TaiG or Pangu, as they have in the past.

Part of the reason why Esser will not release his work to the public is his past disputes with Pangu. Esser has accused Pangu of stealing his work and has refused to work with Pangu again. He also says that he has not been able to achieve a fully functional jailbreak and that something is "broken with it."

In the past, Esser has teased jailbreakers with a jailbreak that he never intends on releasing to the public. Last year, Esser had a jailbreak called the cyberelevat0r jailbreak that was never made available to the public. Now, he is doing the same thing with an iOS 8.4 jailbreak solution. iOS 8.4 will soon replace the iOS 8.3 operating system, and it is expected to come with more improvements and features.

With recent security updates in iOS 8.2 and iOS 8.3, many jailbreakers thought that future jailbreaks would not be coming. The fact that Esser was able to exploit vulnerabilities and successfully jailbreak iOS 8.3 and iOS 8.4 is exciting.

Here is what Esser posted regarding his latest jailbreak, according to WCCF Tech:

"Today I am delighted to share this video of a proof of concept iOS 8.4-beta 1 jailbreak that I was working on the last four days. ... The major vulnerability used in here was found right after the SyScan 2015 security conference when I was relaxing in Singapore from several weeks of training and conferences."
