In collaboration with the Latino organizations iAmerica and Mi Familia Vota, Univision Houston will be hosting a town hall meeting called “Foro Sobre Acción Ejecutiva” (Forum on the Executive Action), in an effort to address President Obama’s executive actions on immigration.

iAmerica is a self-described “source of empowerment for American immigrant families of all walks of life” that provides information on the Deferred Action program, while Mi Familia Vota stands out as one of the premier Latino civic engagement organizations in the United States.

The town hall meeting, which will be hosted by Univision News anchors Arantxa Loizaga and Raul Peimbert, will focus primarily on informing the Latino community in Texas of details related to Obama’s recent executive action, as well as providing information on Deferred Action for Parents (DAPA) and the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).

The televised town hall meeting will occur at the Univision Houston studios and will air live on Saturday, April 25, from 3:55 p.m. to 4:55 p.m. CT on all of the Univision-owned television stations in Texas.

Univision America will be simulcasting the informative town hall meeting across its radio stations in McAllen, El Paso, Dallas and San Antonio.

Interested individuals can get to see the town hall meeting live and on demand on Univision45.com.

As announced in the Univison press release there will be a panel of distinguished guests speaking. The group will include: Rocío Sáenz, International Executive Vice President, Service Employees International Union; Elsa Cabrero, president of SEIU Texas; and Janet Beck, Houston Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality law.

And anyone with any questions will be able to call a simultaneous phone bank set up specifically for viewers and listeners to have the opportunity to call and ask questions about DAPA and DACA.
