NFL star wideout DeSean Jackson has snared a reality show deal with BET that will being airing later this year.

Variety reports, "Home Team" will chronicle Jackson's rise to the land of being one of the league's top receivers with the Washington Redskins, a time where everyone seems to be "waiting for him to score touchdowns and waiting for him to drop the ball off the field."

Even though he is clearly rich and famous, adding yet another twist to the storyline will be the way Jackson's whole world is run by a team of women that include momager Gayle, his sister and assistant A'Drea, his publicist Denise and his new girlfriend, Kayla.

The 28-year-old Jackson has played seven NFL seasons, the first six of them with the Philadelphia Eagles, where ESPN once described him as one of the "most electrifying players in club history."

Still, the Eagles infamously moved to release him in March of 2014 after team official's allegedly uncovered information about his "off-field connections and activities." NJ.com was the first to break news that the Eagles were growing increasingly concerned about his "reputed ties to Los Angeles street gang members."

Jackson was in just the second year of a five-year, multi-million dollar pact when Philly severed ties with him, but he was able to rebound to net a three-year deal worth up to $24 million from the Redskins.

In announcing Jackson's BET show, Network chair-CEO Debra Lee explained, "Black consumers experience BET Networks differently than any other network because of our 35 years of history, tremendous experience and insights. We continue to give our viewers what they want -- high-quality content that respects, reflects and elevates them.

Among other new shows being offered by the network is a revamped version of the one-time hit "Punk'd" series starring Ashton Kutcher. Brandy Norwood is also slated to star in a sitcom ("Zoe Moon") as a single mom and Kelly Rowland is on tap to be the face of the "Chasing Destiny" singing competition show.
