The next all-new episode of "The Originals" will be intense as the Mikaelson clan continue their battle against Dahlia, who is plotting to capture Baby Hope.

Last week, fans said goodbye to Colin Woodell's character Aiden after he was killed by Dahlia. However, the evil witch framed Klaus as Aiden's killer in order to divide the Mikaelsons. As a result, Klaus took the wrap for a murder that he did not commit only to face severe repercussions from his siblings, who stabbed a dagger through his heart. Now. the remaining Mikaelson siblings will be forced to save Hope without help from Klaus in Monday's new episode, "City Beneath the Sea."

According to executive producer Michael Narducci, "everyone is struggling" with the question of whether or not the siblings can defeat Dahlia without their fearless leader, Klaus.

"They're going to stand up to someone who is the most powerful thing we've seen in this universe, and they're going to have to find a way to deal with her without the most dangerous member of their family," said the showrunner, according to E! News.

In the meantime, Josh is going to grieve and seek revenge following the loss of his lover, Aiden.

"That's a big part of the next episode. Josh is wrecked by this," Narducci teased.

"This is the beginning of the storm that will take us through the end of this season. By now, the family is a house divided. This is going to put the people we care about in the most jeopardy we've ever seen. That is the story we're going to tell in the last three episodes," added the EP.

Although the Mikaelsons were very quick to believe that Klaus killed Aiden, Narducci notes, "Cami knows the truth, and once that truth starts to get out, our characters are going to have to figure out who could have done this and why."

Meanwhile, newlyweds Hayley and Jackson will also face drama as they're "reeling from the loss of the guy who was, in effect, the Vice President," Narducci says, according to TVLine.

"Hayley, as a leader, is going to have to work with Jackson to find a way to earn back [the wolves'] trust." On the romantic end, even though Elijah is clearly still in love with Hayley, his sense of familial duty will prevent him from attempting to split up her marriage. Besides, "over the course of that marriage, she found herself having legitimate feelings" for Jackson, too.

In addition, Narducci hinted that Davina will continue to attempt to bring Kol from the dead. There are some "pretty important witch shenanigans going on this week," he says, adding that Davina will get "one little ray of hope, one possibility of what she might be able to do ... in her quest to resurrect Kol."

In light of the upcoming episode, The CW released a sneak peek video published by Entertainment Weekly, revealing that Cami will finally come clean about Aiden's murder. In the clip, she admits to Elijah that Klaus did not kill him. However, Elijah does not seem phased and instead calls Cami out on her feelings for his brother.

In another sneak peek, Marcel gives Rebekah sound advice for her own good.

Exec producers Julie Plec and Narducci also dropped spoilers about the new episode in a preview video.

According to CarterMatt, the synopsis reads as follows:

"When Dahlia (guest star Claudia Black) devises a clever way to get Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) attention, she reveals some startling details about baby Hope and leaves him with an enticing proposition to consider. Elsewhere, while Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Freya (guest star Riley Voelkel) find themselves with opposing views on how best to handle Dahlia's looming deadline, Rebekah (guest star Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Davina (Danielle Campbell), and Cami (Leah Pipes) work together to come up with their own strategy. Meanwhile, following a tense stand-off between Elijah and Jackson (guest star Nathan Parsons) in the bayou, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) is left to make a difficult decision about her and Hope's future. Finally, Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood), who is eager to leave his witch past behind him, approaches Davina with an offer that leaves her intrigued."

Furthermore, Narducci teased that there will be at least one more major death before Seaon 2 ends.

"There are a few more deaths and they are just as heartbreaking and really, really sad," Narducci says.

Season 2, Episode 20 of "The Originals, "City Beneath the Sea," will premiere on Monday, April 27, on The CW.
