Selena Gomez has cancelled her upcoming Asia and Australia tour due to needing some "me" time. The star released a statement saying how bad she feels because her fans are so important to her. I don't know, Selena, that is a pretty tough disappointment to get over for your followers.

We love Selena Gomez, I mean the girl is mature, talented and she is Justin Bieber's love (still think they are so cute together). Can this "time needed" have something to do with the "All That Matters" singer? After their break up, Selena continued her music tour and... well, went on with her life and career.

Justin did the same, along with some pretty public hook ups with random girls. It seems like Selena, 21, never had time to heal because all of a sudden she needs "me" time. The "Come and Get it" singer can just be going through other personal hurdles of course, whatever it is we hope Selena doesn't loose any fans over it.

"My fans are so important to me and I would never want to disappoint them, but it has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be. To my fans, I sincerely apologize and I hope you guys know how much each and every one of you mean to me."

Hmm, we cannot help but notice that this comes at the same time when Justin Bieber has announced that he also will be taking a year off. What's going on here? We understand that the entertainment business is very tough and Selena is not the first music artist to admit that she is physically exhausted (she is human after all). It's just a hard pill to swallow for fans that saved all their money just to go see her and then be let down by this sudden cancelation.

Selena was supposed to perform throughout Asia in the New Year including dates in Japan, China, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines. Thirteen shows have been canceled, including a five-city tour of Australia that was set to start on Feb. 1 at Perth Arena. The tour was then suppose to hit Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Brisbane Convention Centre and Sydney Entertainment Centre, wrapping up Feb. 8 at the 15,000-capacity Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.

Hope you can figure everything out, Ms. Gomez. Good luck to you.
