Oscar Isaac has revealed a number of spoilers about his upcoming role in "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens."

During an interview with IGN promoting his latest film "Ex Machina," Isaac revealed that his character Poe Dameron is the best pilot in the galaxy. He said, "The gauntlet's been thrown. No one's picked it up yet. Look, he's the best frickin' pilot in the galaxy! What more can you say?"

He also revealed that during the filming of the movie it was easy to bond with the practical droids that were created for the latest Star Wars installment. He said, "Well, I mean you've seen BB-8! It's very hard not to bond with that little guy. I mean, it's amazing. It's an amazing design, too. I mean, just everybody that worked to make him come to life - or to make it come to life. Let's not give it a gender. It was just so cool to witness that."

Isaac also expressed excitement about working with legends Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill. He said, "I mean there is that moment when I first would walk on the set and just see what was there and see them in costume. Or visit set and see them. And those would be sort of pinch yourself moments. Like, 'Wow, how did I even end up here?'"

The Guatemalan actor has obtained a lot of acclaim in the past three years for his work on "Inside Llewyn Davis," "A Most Violent Year" and, recently, in his film "Ex Machina." Isaac has also starred in "The Two Faces of January" and "Robin Hood."

"The Force Awakens" is among the most anticipated films of the year and is expected to boom at the box office. The movie stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis and Lupita Nyong'o. The film is directed by J.J. Abrams and opens on Dec. 18.
