Scarlett Johansson appears to still be shaken about her divorce from Ryan Reynolds. She hints it's changed the whole way she views and approaches life and relationships.

"Acting is a very strange world to be co-existing in," she told Parade of she and Reynolds' brief two-year union. "It's very volatile. There's always going to be the more successful person. It's related to rejection. Because actors, if they're not having success, connect it directly to unpopularity -- to the fact that nobody wants them. It's not necessarily true. I'm constantly rejected."

Back in 2014, a then-pregnant Johansson told Glamour her whole attitude about relationships has changed since her time with Reynolds. Not only does the 29-year-old Hollywood A-lister now insist she is more knowledgeable about what she needs, but also what she wants and might require in a relationship.

"I know I have more tools to communicate, not just with my partner, but with myself" she said. "That's not necessarily any reflection of who I was married to or what was happening in my marriage, but really where I was in my life."

The "Avengers" star and Reynolds split just before Christmas in 2010 and at the time a source told US Weekly their biggest issue seemed to stem from all the distance their hectic schedules and careers put between them.

Through it all, Johansson has remained true to her rising career, though she's still not certain how she feels about the "ScarJo" nickname that has been bestowed upon her by some.

"I associate that name with, like, pop stars," she told Glamour. "It sounds tacky. It's lazy and flippant. And there's something kind of violent about it. There's something insulting about it."

Since their split, 37-year-old Reynolds has married "Gossip Girl" alum Blake Lively.
