The former Disney star has seemingly gotten past her twerking days and has now upscaled with a video teaser for "Adore You" slated for release on December 26.

The controversial singer posted the steamy video teaser on her Instagram account December 21. The video had the singer on her bed alone and seemingly touching herself.

At least that is what most fans and followers of the former Disney star were thinking when her hands magically disappeared underneath her knickers.

The video, which the singer posted with the caption "#adoreyou December 26th premier on Vevo" caused quite a stir on Instagram.

Other users deemed the teaser offensive, while loyal fans defended the controversial singer's post.

Over at Twitter, Miley retweeted a post by @WeAdoreMiley saying: "If this tweet gets retweeted 500 times, i'll post a video of myself doing a parody of the Adore You music video!"

"Adore You" is Miley Cyrus' first track for album "Bangerz" Deluxe Edition. The whole album is available on iTunes and retails for $13.99. Individual tracks are available for purchase at $1.29 including the now buzzed 'Adore You.'

According to @MileyHappyFloyd, the track is back in the Top 100 over at iTunes even before the December 26 video release date.

"Adore You" is a pretty slow and relaxed song which talks about loving, needing and adoring another. The chorus of the track is worded as follows:

When you say you love me,
Know I love you more
And when you say you need me,
Know I need you more
Boy I adore you
I adore you

With such lyrics, fans could only try and imagine how much they're going to see of Miley on the video. However the video would turn out, the singer sure is as excited as the fans - posting countdowns on her social media accounts.
