It is hard to remember the last time the NFL playoff race was this tight heading into the final week of the regular season.

While a number of playoff spots have been clinched in the AFC -- from division titles to just simple playoff berths -- only two NFC teams have clinched. This makes for an incredibly exciting final week of the regular season as division rivals face off with hopes of making it to the postseason.

Let's take a look at the teams that have already clinched as well as the teams that need a little help to get into the big dance.

In the AFC, the Broncos, Patriots, Colts, Bengals, and Chiefs all have punched a ticket to the playoffs in some way, shape, or form. The Chiefs are only going to be a wild card team, but the other teams have some wiggle room with seeding in the final week.

In the NFC, the Seahawks and Panthers have wrapped up playoff spots but that's it. Not one team has clinched a division title, leaving the door wide open heading into Week 17. The Saints, 49ers, Eagles, Cowboys, Bears, and Packers all can clinch spots with a win. It just so happens to be that most of these teams are facing each other in the final week as we prepare for a full slate of divisional matchups.

The teams that would need to win and get some help in both conferences are the Steelers, Cardinals, Chargers, Dolphins, and Ravens.

If the playoffs started today, which teams would be in and which squads would be eliminated? Below you will find the current playoff seeding structures in each league:
