Celebrities took the time to celebrate Children's Day on Thursday.

El Día del Niño is a traditional Latin American celebration, which some people participate in all around the world.

Forest Grove Library celebrated its 9th annual Children's Day event with a two-hour celebration filled with paper crafts, face painting, a magic show and a break dancing performance, The Oregonian reports.

The events of the day were also a part of an initiative to promote bilingual literacy.

Latino celebrities took to social media to honor the special Latin American tradition.

Angelique Boyer wrote a sweet message for the occasion.

"Very happy children's day... To young and old! What you write in your soul as a child, you write forever!" she said on Twitter

Sebastián Rulli also shared a message on his Twitter account.

"Very #HappyChildrensDay to all!!! Because no matter your age, innocence, freshness and wonder should predominate in your heart. #Love.

He also retweeted messages from his fans that included some pictures of him as a young boy.  

Enrique Iglesias posted a throwback Instagram photo of himself as a kid. He captioned the post, "Getting #fancy back in the day #TBT #formal #tuxedos."

Anahi posted an Instagram photo of her children. "Happy children's day!!!!" Anahi said. "Never stop dreaming."

Dulce Maria posted a photo honoring how special it is to be a kid.

"Happy children's day ...remember what surprised you, what you wanted, what you dreamt of, that you didn't pretend to be anyone else but yourself, you didn't keep what you felt to yourself, your desire to know new things was bigger than your pride and fears...don't forget to love and take care of that little person that lives with you and inside you," she said. 

Meanwhile, Eva Mendes posted a throwback photo of the time she was a kid at her sister's wedding.
