Things will be very interesting when Jane attends her five-year high school reunion in the next episode of "Jane the Virgin."

According to a preview video of the episode, "Chapter Twenty-One," Jane was voted as the "Most Likely to Succeed" when she was in high school. Now, however, she must face the harsh reality that her life has not gone the way she expected.

"I'm single, I live at home and I'm currently unemployed," she tells an old friend at the ceremony."

According to CarterMatt, the synopsis for the penultimate episode reads as follows:

"Jane (Gina Rodriguez) is nervous to attend her five year high school reunion because she feels her life is not what she expected it to be. Rafael (Justin Baldoni) confides in Petra (Yael Grobglas) about Jane's custody request, making Petra think she can fix the problem and become the hero. Xo (Andrea Navedo) is confused about Rogelio's (Jaime Camil) reaction during their show rehearsal until she learns the real reason behind it. Meanwhile, Jane agrees to attend Michael's (Brett Dier) commendation ceremony, but she has a few ground rules."

Following her split with Rafael, Jane decided to take drastic measures to protect her unborn child from drama by trying to get custody in last week's episode. She has also become extremely frustrated because she feels Rafael is not on her side.

Meanwhile, Rogelio overreacted after learning that Xo kissed Marco, reports TV Fanatic.

According to "Jane the Virgin" star Gina Rodriguez, Jane will transform into a fearless and confident woman in the upcoming season finale.

"You're going to see Jane going through the last periods of her transformation dealing with her pregnancy and her relationship with Rafael, the father of the child. You're going to see more of Jane's fearlessness, more of her confidence as a woman. She's going to really start having conversations. I can tease that women are going to be real proud," the actress said in an interview with People magazine.

Season 1, Episode 20 of "Jane The Virgin," entitled "Chapter Twenty-One," will air on Monday, May 4, on The CW.
