Before everyone knew who Kim Kardashian was, she cleaned celebrity closets to sell their clothes to make a profit.

According to Variety, the famous reality TV star worked hard all of her life. She got her first job in retail when she was just 16 years old and stayed there for about four years.

"I loved it," Time's most influential woman said. "When I turned 16, my dad made me sign a contract- he made us sign contracts for everything -- that if I hit my car, I would be responsible for paying for it."

That work ethic taught Kim Kardashian to work hard for what she wanted. She then started to buy designer clothes and sell them on eBay.

"I remember I bought these Manolo Blahnik shoes that were $700," Kim said. "He [Kim's late father, Robert] let me buy five pairs. I had to pay him back plus interest. I sold every pair on eBay for $2,500." Everyone wanted those shoes because Jennifer Lopez wore them in a music video.

She added, "I became so obsessed with seeing that return, I would sell off the things I wouldn't be wearing."

From then on, Kardashian started a business of cleaning out celebrity's closets and selling their items, according to Yahoo! Finance. She was featured in Paris Hilton's reality show "The Simple Life" in 2006 where she cleaned Hilton's closet as well.

Now, Kim Kardashian is the executive producer of her long-running family reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." The hit show recently renewed its contract with E! for $100 million.

Aside from the show, the business mogul owns a successful video game app, just released her selfie book and has more than 30 million followers on Instagram.

The 34-year-old lives in California with her famous rapper husband Kanye West and their daughter North West.
