Cinco de Mayo brings festivals and parades to cities all over the United States and Mexico. Besides those events, businesses are offering up freebies and deals on Cinco de Mayo.

Taco Bell is trying to lure customers away from McDonald's breakfast with its "Breakfast Defectors" campaign. On Cinco de Mayo, it is also calling the day "Breakfast Defectors Day" and are offering up a free sausage or bacon biscuit taco from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Taco Bell's choice of Cinco de Mayo is a perfect day to get consumers eating Mexican-inspired food for breakfast instead of McDonald's.

Sonic Drive-In locations are offering its happy hour all day Tuesday. That means half-priced drinks no matter what time of the day customers go.

Head over to Moe's Southwest Grill and be one of the first 50 customers to receive a free "Cinco de Moe's" T-shirt. Select locations will also be offering any burrito bowl, chips and salsa for just $5 all day. 

Chili's is offering three different freebies that extend until May 7. Purchase an adult entree and receive a free appetizer, dessert or kids meal with these coupons.

TacoTime is selling their crisp tacos for only $0.69 each on Cinco de Mayo. 

"Last year, we sold more than 150,000 Crisp Tacos on Cinco de Mayo. This year, we're excited to welcome all our customers back for this popular special and surpass last year's incredible number," said Chanel McFarlane, director of marketing, in a press release.

Tijuana Flats will be offering up a special combo that includes two tacos, chips and a drink for $5.49. Even better, Tijuana Flats will be offering alcoholic drinks for extremely affordable prices. $1 beers, $2 sangria and $3 wine will be available on Cinco de Mayo at Tijuana Flats.

On the Border does not have any published food specials, but the restaurant will entertain guests as they eat. There will be live music, dancing and entertainment featured at the restaurant while diners enjoy their meals.
