The guardianship debate over Michael Jackson's children continues, as a cousin of Jackson's, Anthony Jackson II recently filed a petition to take guardianship away from Michael's nephew, TJ.

According to 411Mania, TJ Jackson is trying to maintain his status as the guardian of Michael Jackson's kids after one of his cousins has tried to take the role on for himself. TJ Jackson has filed documents asking a judge to deny Anthony Jackson II's request to be named guardian instead of TJ. The documents TJ filed claim that Anthony doesn't say why he has made the request. TJ notes that he and Michael's mother Katherine are doing just fine as co-guardians and that the children are all happy with the circumstances.

For a little bit of back history: TJ is also known as Tito Joe Jackson, who is one-third of the pop group 3T, which also features his two brothers, Toriano Adaryll Jackson II (also known as Taj) and Taryll Adren Jackson. 3T is best known for their duet "Why" with their more famous uncle. On Aug. 25, 2012, a judge granted TJ guardianship over Michael's children Prince, Paris and Blanket, along with his grandmother Katherine Jackson. 3T have returned in the studio in 2012 and are currently working on a new album.

Anthony Jackson II, meanwhile, is a grand nephew of Joseph and Katherine. His grandfather is Lorrence Jackson, the younger brother of Joseph. When Anthony was 7 years old, his father Tony passed away. At that time Michael became significantly involved in his life. Not only was Anthony Michael's cousin, he was also Michael's protege, Godson and friend. Anthony was also writing music for Michael at his request. He is close to the Jackson family, especially from the next generation. (His Twitter page is unintentionally hilarious, though...)
