Bow Wow recently announced he is leaving Cash Money Records and teaming up with Snoop Dogg and Jermaine Dupri.

The former "106 & Park" host took to his Facebook page on May 9 to let followers and fans know with a six-minute video clip that he is parting ways with his current label in what he described as a "peaceful situation."

Bow Wow insisted there is "no bad blood" with CEO Birdman and expressed his admiration for him.

"I've got so much respect for Birdman," he said. "This is a man who took a risk on signing me. Not only that, but a person who opened up his space to me."

"I never had other issues that a lot of other artists are having. I never had that with him," he continued.

The "Let Me Hold You" hitmaker explained why he has decided to finally leave YMCMB after four years. He complained that he had several tracks that never got released, because the record company itself was keeping them.

"I wanna dictate when my music comes out," he said. "I'm tired of going in the studio and making records, and then, you know, I listen to them. Then they get old, and y'all ask for new music and I put it out, it's like I don't even wanna hear it, 'cause I been listening to it for two or three months. That has to stop, man. I got so many records, man. They just gotta be heard, I feel like it's unfair. And I just can't be held up by nobody."

Bow Wow then revealed his plans to go back to the two California rappers who helped shape his music career when he was beginning.

"Now that I have both of them in cahoots with each other, this is only gonna make my new situation even more monumental. Now I have two iconic legends who are backing me up 1,000 percent, and that's all I wanted," he added. "I just wanted a team that believed in me. I wanted a team who understood my vision and was ready to go to war with me."
