There's no doubt that the Latino presence has been felt more in the batter's box than on the pitcher's mound throughout MLB history, but just over 30 games into this season, multiple Latino pitchers have been thriving above the rest of the league.

In the American League, Felix Hernandez and Michael Pineda represent the winningest pitchers. "King Felix" has a perfect 6-0 record this season for the Seattle Mariners and an outstanding 1.85 earned runs against average. The Venezuelan ace won the AL CY Young Award back in 2010, and it's safe to say he'll be in the running once again this season. Hernandez also leads the AL in most innings pitched.

Hernandez's partner in crime, Fernando Rodney, has nine saves this season, the most in the AL. Rodney led all of MLB in saves last season with 48 and will be remembered as one of the best closers of his generation.

Rivaling Hernandez for the top pitcher in the AL at the moment is Michael Pineda. Pineda has the New York Yankees in first place in the American League East ahead of the Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles, Toronto Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Rays. Pineda had a huge pressure entering this season, and the Dominican-born pitcher has risen up to the occasion. Pineda leads the entire AL in strikeouts this year so far.

Pineda is an unblemished 5-0 this season and has allowed just three walks in his 46.1 innings of play.

The Yankees have also benefited very much from Dellin Betances. Betances (who was born in New York City, but parents are from the Dominican Republic) has a perfect 4-0 record for the Bronx Bombers so far this season. His incredible 1.69 ERA couldn't come at a better time considering Masahiro Tanaka is injured and CC Sabathia is playing the worst baseball of his career.

Alfredo Simón and Carlos Carrasco also rank among the most successful pitchers in the AL this season. Both Simon and Carrasco have four wins and compete against one another in the American League Central as members of the Cleveland Indians and Detroit Tigers.

Joakim Soria of Mexico has the most saves of any Latin American-born pitcher in the AL this season, 11.

Over in the National League, it's soon-to-be 42-year-old Bartolo Colón who leads the league in wins. The New York Mets' pitcher doesn't appear to be affected by age. Thanks to Colón's dominating performances on the mound this season, the Mets are in first place in the National League East.

Colón isn't the only Dominican pitcher dominating in Queens. Relief pitcher Jeurys Familia leads the NL in saves with 13 this season and has an incredible 1.59 ERA.

Johnny Cueto is having another strong start, but the Cincinnati Reds are just 15-17 after 32 games of play. Cueto had a monster season last year recording 20 victories for the Reds, and he leads the AL in innings pitched this season with 51.1.

San Francisco Giants pitcher Santiago Casilla has been turning a lot of heads this season as well. Casilla has never won more than seven games in a season in his career but is off to a flawless 4-0 beginning. The Giants are currently in third place in the National League West behind the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres, so they'll need every bit of Casilla.
