Five Nights at Freddy's game developer Scott Cawthon continues to intrigue fans with teaser images hinting at what's to come in Five Nights at Freddy's 4, which is to be released Oct. 31.

A visit to the Scott Games website Monday revealed a third teaser image on the site's home page. The new teaser image confirms that Chica will be joining the previously revealed characters Freddy Fazbear and Bonnie for FNAF4.

In earlier games, Chica was a bright yellow animatronic chicken with a set of blocky white teeth. She was one of four main antagonists. She served as an animatronic children's entertainer, along with Freddy and Bonnie, at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. She was the backup singer in the Fazbear band. During the night shift, she, along with the other animatronics, wanders throughout restaurant in search of humans to stuff inside a Freddy Fazbear suit.

Cawthon's new version of Chica in the teaser image is extraordinary. Now, Chica has an extra row of pointed teeth. If you brighten the image, the word "Nightmare" can be seen, leading many fans to name this animatronic, "Nightmare Chica."

A creepy version of the cupcake rests on nightmarish Chica's shoulder in the teaser image. The cupcake's purpose is not known; it is Chica's favorite item, it seems, and some theorize it serves as a spy for the animatronics when it appears on the security office desk. The new cupcake has sharp, pointed teeth, hinting that players on night security watch will have to deal with both in the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy's 4.

Lastly, the teaser image includes the phrase "Was it me?" which we have seen in the previous Bonnie teaser. Reddit users have speculated that the question refers to the notorious Bite of '87 event. It is an undeniable clue that the incident will be a part of the Five Nights at Freddy's 4 storyline. Will players have to guard their frontal lobes from attack while avoiding jump scares this time around?
