Kelly Clarkson makes no secrets about who she feels she is.

"I'm a little white trash and a little class," she told Rolling Stone of how she describes her sense of humor in a far-ranging interview.

The "Invincible" singer goes on to detail that she's also a supporter of the legalization of marijuana, even though she's hardly one of its biggest users.

"I'm not even a pothead, I just think it's funny that we legalize something as destructive as alcohol or pills and not that," she said. "Don't get me wrong, I love me some alcohol, but I don't know anybody in rehab because of pot. And I know a ton of people that have died either from liver, cancer or behind the wheel."

People adds the 33-year-old, first season "American Idol" winner is also outspoken about the budding relationship she shares with step-mother-in-law Reba McEntire. Clarkson recently married McEntire's stepson Brandon Blackstock, and in June their daughter, River Rose, was born.

"Reba and I are both competitive -- she tell you she's not, but she's a liar," Clarkson said of the way their family game nights typically lay out. "I can win Sequence, but if we play backgammon or Mexican train dominoes, she kills me. She's like a backgammon magician."

The same can be said of Clarkson's mix of country and rock 'n' roll crooning style.

Earlier this year, her smash hit "Piece by Piece" became her third LP to top the Billboard 200. That music also marked the end of a six-album deal Clarkson signed with RCA in 2002 immediately after being crowned "Idol" winner.

"Man, I have no frigging clue what's coming next, but it's going to be fun," she said of her newfound freedom to make the music she wants to make. "I haven't ever been able to pick who to work with as an artist, so it's nice now that it's a choice."
