The most luxurious Air Jordan 1 is set to arrive soon. Word is out that Nike has finally dropped the release date for the Air Jordan 1 Retro High "Pinnacle" for May and a lot of fans of the sneaker are eager to get their hands on this opulent shoe design.

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High "Pinnacle" is still part of the Jordan Brand's 30th anniversary releases. The color design is listed officially under Nike as the Black/Metallic Gold color and everything about the shoe screams luxe and extravagance.

The shoe, which dons the original AJ 1 silhouette, comes with a "full-grain faux snakeskin" upper material that is combined with black leather, whose color is reminiscent of the fancy caviar, wrote Nike. But the richness of the design does not stop on the material used for the sneaker's body.

Accents in gold are also found all over the shoe. The eyelets, shoelace tips and even its dubrae are all plated in 24-karat gold that adds a pop of color to the rich black hue of the sneaker. A "Nike Air" gold plate could be found at the shoe's tongue while the gold plated Air Jordan logo of a basketball on wings could be seen on the side of each sneaker above the ankle area.

Another 24-karat gold plate is located at the back's heel where the letters "MJ23" are engraved vertically. Quilted black leather insoles add a touch of comfort to the exquisite shoe while a simple white rubber sole completes the elaborate sneaker's design.

The collector's item, with all its materials and accents, does not come in cheap. Air Jordan 1 Retro High "Pinnacle" is priced at $400 a pair and customers looking to buy more than one would be disappointed to know that Nike is limiting the sale to one pair per customer only.

With the hefty price tag, the limited edition design of the Air Jordan 1 is easily the most expensive design to come for the signature shoe, noted Complex. However, premium quality is guaranteed.

Overseas fans of the design already had the opportunity to cop the shoe as early as May 9, said another report in Complex. An early release was given to those who were in attendance at the Flight 23 store in Las Vegas last May 2, said Sneaker Bar Detroit.

The rest of the United States could get their hands on this premium design beginning May 30. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High "Pinnacle" would be available in select Nike retailers and Nike.com.
