Caroline Flack is not sorry at all about dating One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles.

The couple first met when Flack interviewed Styles on "The X Factor (U.K.)" before getting into a relationship that only lasted three months.

The two caused quite the controversy with their 14-year age gap, with the "Midnight Memories" hitmaker being only 17 at the time.

In a recent interview with The Telegraph, Flack admitted that her highly publicized, brief romance with Styles taught her "quite a lot" about life. She now accepts what she did was "quite strange" and understands why so many were "out to get" her, but she still stands by what happened.

"I'm not going to ever apologize for it because there was nothing at the time that was serious or bad and nobody was getting hurt," she said.

The television presenter added that the media exaggerate things.

"I can see why people go, 'Ooh look at that!' I've been there, I've been like, 'Oh my God! So and so's going out with so and so!'" she added.

Flack, who was branded with "cradle-snatcher" and received tremendous amounts of hate mail, previously opened up about the troubles of dating Styles.

"When the bullies first started it became a bit all-consuming and I got a bit lost in my thoughts," she told Daily Mail last year. "It was horrible. But the more you learn about Twitter the more you realize it's an outlet for people to be angry."

Meanwhile, Styles and his other ex-fling, Kendall Jenner, were recently rumored to be rekindling their romance.

According to HollywoodLife, the 1D lothario and the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star, who also split after just three months of dating back in 2013, have been "talking and texting again," although they are "just friends" for now.

"The conversations can be flirty as Harry can't help himself," a source revealed, adding that the two have been planning to go out with their friends when the British singer is in Los Angeles and available.
