"How crazy am I? The answer to that question may reveal way more than I want to," said Uzo Aduba when asked what from her off-screen life she brought to her "Crazy Eyes" character, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

While the "OITNB" star didn't delve into too many personal details, the Emmy Award-winner said that "she truly understands her character, who she affectionately refers to by her real name, Suzanne."

"I was able to relate to the depth of her love, separating it from the way she acts it out," Aduba said. "I have loved that deeply in my life before, so I can understand her passion for it," she added, "noting to laughs that that doesn't mean she'd ever pee on the floor the way her character did in the first season," THR reports.

Last week, Aduba was joined by "OITNB" creator Jenji Kohan who teased some details on the upcoming Season 3 and fellow cast members Taylor Schilling (Piper), Danielle Brooks (Taystee), Kate Mulgrew (Red), Laverne Cox (Sophia) and Selenis Leyva (Gloria), who all opened up about nudity, onscreen diversity and the "horrific" U.S. prison system at the Television Academy screening and panel for the series.

What will "Crazy Eyes" be up to on "OITNB" Season 3?

She's up to her shenanigans, but of course with a deeper backstory and many layers as she portrays "an emotionally unstable lesbian female inmate with a violent past," but also someone who is very articulate and comical.

A scene from the "OITNB" Season 3 trailer revealed "Crazy Eyes" showing off her eccentric writing skills based on a weird human and alien encounter that's considered to be "obscene" and "sexual."

"It's not just sex. It's love," "Crazy Eyes" explained. "It's two people connecting with four other people and aliens."

The returning cast of "OITNB" includes Schilling, Laura Prepon, Diane Guerrero and Jackie Cruz, among others, as well as the arrival of Ruby Rose's Stella Carlin and Lori Petty's Lolly, who had a brief appearance in Season 2.

Daya (Dascha Polanco) and Bennett (Matt McGorry) also continue their steamy affair.

"Orange Is the New Black" Season 3 returns June 12 on Netflix.
