"Independence Day 2" is speculated to carry the title, "ID Forever," and a new casting call believed to be for the film has given fans a sneak peek as to what the film has in store.

The casting call is looking for Moon Base techs and ground crew along with pilots. There is a special emphasis on an extra's willingness to get "a short or military style haircut."

The publication added the plot details found below:

"We always knew they were coming back. After 'Independence Day' redefined the event movie genre, the next epic chapter delivers global catastrophe on an unimaginable scale. Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet. But nothing can prepare us for the aliens' advanced and unprecedented force. Only the ingenuity of a few brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction."

Bill Pullman and Judd Hirsh are some of the confirmed actors who will join original cast actors set to reprise their roles. These include Jeff Goldblum, Brent Spiner and Fox herself. Other franchise newcomers confirmed for the film include Jessie Usher, Travis Tope, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Joey King and Liam Hemsworth.

While the cast is looking pretty strong, one actor who won't be returning to the series will be Hollywood A-Lister Will Smith. Fox revealed (via Inquisitr) that Usher's character, Dylan Dubrow, will fill a bit of the void left by Smith.

The actress reveals that Dubrow playing the role of Smith and Fox's character have "wonderful qualities that will remind you of Will."

"The Day After Tomorrow" director Ronald Emmerich is set to direct the film.

After 20 years, "Independence Day 2" is set to be released in theaters on June 24, 2015. It follows an original film that grossed over $800 million back in the '90s.
