It seems that an entirely unexpected crossover is in the works. "Arrow" lead man, Stephen Amell, could soon be making his way towards the World Wrestling Entertainment ring in response to a challenge by wrestler Stardust.

According to IGN, Amell is a big fan of WWE and was recently at the Monday Night RAW to watch the show. However, something unexpected happened when Stardust was on his way to the ring to fight Neville.

The wrestler who is also called Cody Rhodes was heading towards the ring when he noticed Amell sitting ringside. He went to face the actor and gave him a loud hiss to his face. Amell then stood up and faced the wrestler.

Stardust went on to fight Neville in a match that he lost.

Amell went backstage and had his photograph taken with RAW commentator John Layfield. The commentator uploaded the image to his Twitter account with the caption, "@StardustWWE You have failed this city! - Arrow. @amellywood"

The actor who portrays Oliver Queen in the popular TV series had a parting shot with the wrestler on his Twitter account. Amell posted photos of what happened in the night's episode of RAW and wrote, "You tread carefully @StardustWWE - Or I'll be back."

The post had fans of the actor in uproar and speculated that he would return to the show.

Further fanning the flame that Amell would return, Stardust called out to the actor and challenged him to come back to the show after throwing a barrage of insults, reported Comic Book.

The former Tag Team champion was backstage when he was interviewed for the WWE.com Live. The interviewer asked the wrestler regarding Amell's return to Monday Night RAW to which he replied, "Please, be my guest."

Amell took another stab at the wrestler on his Twitter page. Following his warning to Stardust to "tread carefully," the actor corrected wrestling fan Scott Davis's tweet that compared both men's acting.

"@StardustWWE is a better actor then @amellywood ever will be," wrote Davis. The actor replied, "Than," in correction to his grammar.

While it's not yet clear whether the actor would actually show up in the next episode of the show, Amell has long expressed interest to guest in RAW.

In September 2014, the actor posted an update on his Facebook page asking the show a chance to host. Amell even said he would be willing to "wrestle and everything" just to get the chance.
