It seems that trouble is brewing within FC Barcelona's own camp. The best team in the La Liga could soon lose one of its defenders as rumors of Dani Alves heading out of the club started to circulate. The 32-year-old Brazilian is said to be on his way to England as soon as his contract ends.

The Spanish league's season has just ended while Copa Del Rey and Champions League Finals are just around the corner, and many clubs are already looking at getting new players to boost their team.

With news of players coming in for teams come reports of those on their way out as well, and Barca's fullback seems to be among those ready to leave one of the biggest clubs in the world.

In a report on The Independent, Manchester United was named as one of the teams interested in getting the defender after suffering an underwhelming season due to defensive issues.

With Alves' contract ending, there would be no additional fee required to move him across the pond. However, the five-time La Liga champion and two-time Champions League winner would not come in cheap.

Manchester United has yet to comment on these rumors.

Reports of Alves' being unhappy with his team came out recently when the player spoke about being disrespected by his club. He revealed that the only time management was interested in discussing his future was when the club's appeal for their transfer ban was upheld and they could not sign in new players.

According to The Guardian, the right fullback felt that he was under appreciated in his team. "I won't accept that they underestimate what I have given to this club. They haven't given me the value I deserve," said Alves.

His contract at Camp Nou will end in June after Barca goes against Juventus in the Champions League Finals. While there is still a week to go, the player has been thinking of his future.

"From June 7, I'll announce my future. My intention was not to speak but I haven't been respected with a lot of silly things. It's gone too far. I don't want anybody to influence my decisions. My future only depends on me," added the player.

Alves revealed that he has already considered leaving Barcelona. "I may have two feet in the team but I've also got one foot, my body and nearly my head out of the club. I would like to stay here but not at any price. Not only in terms of money but in terms of respect. If I'm not shown that respect, I'll go to another club," said the defender.
